James Simpson - Director/Producer/Writer

James trained as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has written music for television, films and records, produced television series for ITV and Channel Four as well as developing projects in North America with HBO and USA Network.

James has been involved in producing and financing of over thirty films, including the BAFTA nominated ‘Merchant Of Venice’, starring Al Pacino, ‘Head In The Clouds’, starring Charlize Theron and ‘The Bridge of San Luis Rey’ starring Robert DeNiro.

He has written the teen thriller ‘The Darkling’ with the hit author Peter James to be directed by Chuck Russell, (Nightmare on Elm Street, The Mask with Jim Carey). He produced and directed ‘Definition of Fear’ - a psychological horror film, starring Jacqueline Fernandez, the Bollywood Star.  He is currently directing  ‘Hope’ a documentary about ‘Football For Peace’, a UN global charity.

 

Isabella Marchese-Ragona – Producer

Isabella has over 20 years in the field of Film, TV and Media, she has taken on roles as Producer, Executive Producer, Director, and Writer. She has been involved in various projects that range from Feature Films, Television programmes, Multimedia, Documentary films and more.   Her credits include a variety of produced programming and marketing  campaigns for major T.V. network’s, such as BBC, MTV, VIACOM, HBO, NBC, ABC, Universal, Warner Bros, Global Canwest, Corus Entertainment Networks and Discovery Channel. Her role has included TV production and cross-collateralizing  IPs and brands with Film/TV, managing projects worldwide.

Focusing on Feature films now, some of her feature film credits include, “Forsaken,” a western starring Kiefer and Donald Sutherland and Demi Moore, (Release by Universal Pictures/EONE).  The Recall, starring Wesley Snipes, a Sci-Fi film entitled “Stranded” starring Christian Slater, and soon to be released (via Lionsgate) The Alexander McQueen documentary. Isabella is currently working on Moving Pictures Media’s aggressive slate of commercial and high quality films that will be rolling out over the coming years.

 

 

James D. Brubaker - Executive Producer / Producer

James D. Brubaker is a successful film producer, credited with some of the industry’s highest grossing films — and a studio executive.  As President of Physical Production at Universal Studios (2002-2007), he supervised the production of over 50 films in 14 countries with budgets totalling over a billion dollars.  Most recently he produced Chef, written and directed by Jon Favreau.  James most notable credits include:  Bruce Almighty with Jim Carrey, Jennifer Aniston, and Morgan Freeman; Dragonfly with Kevin Costner; The Nutty Professor and The Nutty Professor 2 starring Eddie Murphy; Life featuring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence; Gia with Angelina Jolie (Director’s Guild Outstanding Movie for Television); and Liar, Liar with Jim Carrey.  

 

James executive produced many more movies, including most of Sylvester Stallone’s films in the 1980’s (Over The Top, Cobra and Rocky IV); A Walk In The Clouds with Keanu Reeves and Anthony Quinn; and The Right Stuff (4 Academy Awards).  Prior to producing, James served as Production Manager on Raging Bull, Comes A Horseman, New York, New York; Associate Producer of Rhinestone, Rocky III and True Confessions;  James has been a lecturer and teacher at UCLA and served as an advisor to student filmmakers at USC.  Professional associations include the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, The Director’s Guild of America, Screen Actors Guild and The Producer’s Guild of America.

 

Tim Grohne - Film Distribution, Sales and Financing

Grohne is a  highly motivated entertainment Executive with over 25 years’ experience in the film & television industry, working across sales, marketing, acquisitions and distribution. Founded and ran Primal Screen, a pan-European distribution venture specialising in branded children’s entertainment which has signed licensing deals with companies such as Hasbro Studios and Rainbow Entertainment. Also owner of Enchanted Animation, an ‘all rights’ feature film distribution business.

 

Previously at sales and financing company IM Global, since its inception in 2007. During this time the company grew to become one of the top five independent companies to operate in this space, deploying over $200m into production finance including SAFE (Jason Statham), DREDD 3D (Carl Urban), WALKING WITH DINOSAURS 3D (BBC Worldwide), ENCHANTED KINGDOM (BBC Worldwide), BULLET TO THE HEAD (Silvester Stallone). Tim was the only Executive to be based in Europe during this time, strong relationships were developed amongst the leading European finance, production and distribution businesses including broadcasters such as BBC Films, Film4, funding institutions such as the BFI (formerly the Film Council) and distribution companies such as Metropolitan in France and Constantin in Germany. 

 

This Executive has extensive knowledge of worldwide film distribution, including the key markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America. 

Mauro Borelli -  Creative Producer, Visual Artist

Mauro Borrelli has over 40 years of industry with a long list of Hollywood films grossing up to One Billion in sales.  Mauro studied art at the Academy  of Fine Arts of  Venice. He has worked side by side with notable directors as Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam designing storyboards on the THE ADVENTURES OF BARON  MUNCHAUSEN  and  for Francis  Coppola  on the  pre-visualization of the GODFATHER III.  

 

Among his important contributions to Hollywood productions, the most significant are his concept designs for the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise, WOLFMAN, CAPTAIN AMERICA and his long collaboration with Tim Burton  (SLEEPY HOLLOW,  PLANET OF THE APES  and DARK SHADOWS).  More recently, Mauro is also finishing up a collaboration with Quentin Tarantino on THE HATEFUL EIGHT, THE FINEST HOURS, STAR WARS, Etc.  Mauro  combines his talents  in the traditional  and digital  arts with his vision as a writer/director.

 

Kevin DeWalt – Producer

DeWalt has produced 55 film and television projects and spearheaded the development of a regional production company into the internationally recognized organization Minds Eye Entertainment. He has been instrumental in establishing the Canadian film and television industry with exceptional, exportable projects that have been sold to over 200 territories around the world. Some of DeWalt’s feature film work includes THE UNSAID starring Andy Garcia, THE TALL MAN, starring Jessica Biel. Faces In The Crowd, starring Milla Jovovich. Dolan’s Cadillac, starring Christian Slater, and Grace.

 

Television wise, DeWalt has produced over 250 hours of television. DeWalt has co-produced with many countries including France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and the UK. He completed the Canada/France treaty coproduction Lullaby for Pi, a romantic drama starring Rupert Friend, Clemence Poesy and Forest Whitaker, as well as the sci-fi thriller Stranded, starring Christian Slater, Forsaken, starring Kiefer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland, and Demi Moore. Recently Dewalt completed The Recall a Sci Fi starring Wesley Snipes and RJ Mitte and The Humanity Bureau starring Nicolas Cage.

 

 

Chris Branch - Producer

Chris is known for winning an Oscar as producer on the documentary ‘The Lady in No 6’ which won the Oscar for documentary short 2014. Executive Producer credits on ‘Ambushed’, ‘The Devil in the Detail’, ‘Dark Vengeance ‘and ‘Labor Pains’.

 

He produced ‘Definition of Fear’ - a psychological horror film, starring Jacqueline Fernandez, the Bollywood Star, filmed in Canada. Currently in development with ‘Dave Hart Superbanker’, a thriller set in the  world of finance, based on the books by David Charters.

 

He is currently Producer of ‘Hope’ a documentary about how ‘football’ the biggest sport in the world can break down barriers and give disenfranchised youth hope again.

 

 

Ivan Levene - Screenwriter

Ivan levene has over fifteen years of experience working as a screenwriter, script editor and development executive on film and TV productions across the world, including UK indie productions like the award winning Brick Lane. He has also worked confidentially as a script doctor on numerous feature projects and high profile US TV series. 

 

In addition, Ivan has over ten years of experience teaching screenwriting at university, and is currently course director on the highly regarded MA Screenwriting programme at Royal Holloway University of London, with alumni finding success as screenwriters in companies like the BBC, Netflix and Sky. Ivan prides himself on helping people to find and develop their creative voices as writers, and to fulfil their potential within the industry. 

 

Rachel Win - Casting Director

Rachel Winn provides quality casting for commercials, film and television. She was a Casting Associate for 3 years and a Casting Assistant for 5 years and has worked on a wide variety of projects.

Rachel was the Casting Associate on the Feature Film ‘Anti Social’ and has worked alongside prestigious Directors on National and International commercial campaigns, such as ‘Maltesers’, ‘Money Supermarket’, ‘Cadbury’, ‘Jameson’, ‘Thompson’, ‘Coke’ and ‘Bombardier’. With over 8 years experience in various aspects of the industry, Rachel prides herself on finding the best performer for each project and has travelled the UK and Europe to find the perfect talent.

Rebekah Louisa Smith – The Film Festival Doctor.

Doctor Rebekah Louisa Smith began her film industry career in 2008, working as one of the producers of Wales’ most successful national horror film festival, the Abertoir Horror Festival. She started the ‘The Film Festival Doctor’. Rebekah & her team are creators of success and are committed to transforming the lives of independent film and giving these films & the filmmakers visibility, awards, opportunities and recognition within the film industry. 

 

Currently her company have won over 350 awards for their clients and her team have supported over 585 creatives across the world enlightening and inspiring their journey towards achieving their goals and following their dreams.
